A great introduction to wine!
In this course you will learn: - How to taste and appreciate different styles of wine - How to identify certain grape varieties
By spending time in the vineyard and cellar, you will learn: - How wine is made and see it first hand - Service and storage of wines - Food and wine pairing
Entry Requirements Students who are under the legal minimum age for the retail purchase of alcoholic beverages in the country where the examination is being held will NOT be allowed to sample any alcoholic beverages as part of their course, but this is not a barrier for successfully completing the qualification.

For those looking for a more relaxed, exam-free day, the option to skip the WSET Level 1 exam at the end of the course is available for R1 200. Level 1 Award in Wines Specification

To gain the qualification students need to pass a multiple-choice paper of 30 questions. The examination lasts 45 minutes and candidates need to achieve a minimum of 70% to pass.
