Our Front of House course covers the essential rules of working in the service & hospitality industry.
This course is ideal for junior restaurant waiters and wine stewards in the industry. It is available to establishments wanting to make a group booking of a minimum of 5 people and can be arranged for on site training if preferred. The course covers different wine styles and aims to create a better understanding of the type of wines dealt with on a daily basis. We encourage candidates to bring a copy of their own wine list to ensure a greater depth of knowledge of the wines they are serving. Included in the course is service & storage of wine as well as sales terminology and food & wine recommendations. Courses can be run at Abingdon Wine Estate or alternatively, at one's own establishment over a 5 hour period.
